New homes added to our portfolio

We work in partnership with government, investors and developers to find innovative ways of growing our portfolio so that we can change more lives for the better. We keep our properties in top condition to improve our resident’s wellbeing and reduce our environmental impact.

Our homes

We own and manage more than 3,700 homes across Sydney, one of the most expensive housing markets in the world.

We added 81 new homes to our portfolio in 2023-24. We delivered 58 new homes in Westmead through a combination of owned and managed properties. Our real estate agency, HomeGround increased properties under management with 23 additional homes leased as Affordable Housing.

We continue to work with a range of partners including government, financiers, and the private sector to buy, build and manage more homes. We have ~850 new homes in our committed development pipeline, and more in our planned pipeline. More homes help us change more lives.

Top quality homes

Our Repairs and Maintenance Teams work closely with our head contractor Asset Group Services to make sure our homes are kept to a high standard. We are proactive in upgrading and maintaining our homes before things go wrong. This helps to keep our residents happy and healthy and means we can better manage our budgets in the long run so we can invest in more homes.

Shifting the dial

Through innovative partnerships we are finding new ways to deliver social and affordable homes to people in need.

Our Redfern Place project will deliver 350 units including social, affordable and disability homes as well as a new centre for the PCYC on an inner city site that’s been vacant for decades. Redfern holds a significant place in the hearts and history of urban Aboriginal Australia. We aim to honour and reflect this enduring connection by partnering with the local Aboriginal community.

Our design is informed by the Wanggani Dhyar (Listen to Country) process, led by Yerrabingin, to reflect stories of place and its value as the heartland of contemporary urban Aboriginality. We will create a meeting place for connection, culture and celebration, by and for community.

Safe home for victim survivors of domestic family violence

Our Western Sydney project, delivered in partnership with Homes NSW, is home to a community of 95 people across a mix of social and affordable units, with 20% of homes for women and kids impacted by domestic and family violence (DFV). Recognising the centrality of safe, secure, affordable housing for women and children impacted by DFV, we worked with Women’s Community Shelters (WCS) to provide this critical pathway. By working in partnership with specialist services, our residents have support to access the opportunities that stable housing unlocks. Our partnerships enable us to provide more than a safe place to sleep – hope, connection and a great place to live.

“Parramatta Women’s Shelter (part of the WCS network) enjoy a collaborative relationship with Bridge who worked with us on our meanwhile use projects and in providing pathways for women moving out of crisis.  We work closely together to achieve housing goals for our families after they leave shelter.

“The team at Bridge provide timely, responsive support to our case work team, and are always a pleasure to work with. Their expertise in the Community Housing space has greatly enhanced the experience for the women and children we support and their professional and empathic response to homelessness is always at the forefront of our working arrangements.”  Parramatta Women’s Shelter

Our performance reports

Bridge Housing acknowledges the Gadigal, Darug, Bidjigal and Gai-mariagal people as the traditional owners of the lands on which we work, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.

Always was, always will be, Aboriginal Land.
